Rome Documents




The Rome document is a comprehensive summary of the 2003 general meeting of churches, which brought together a diverse group of Christian ecumenical organisations to participate in (and contribute to) the growing emergence of increased multi-denominational families. It reflects the collective agreement within the Church that this complex subject lies at the very heart of ecumenical practices.


Furthermore, the document outlines how a series of meetings and discussions were held in Rome, with the specific aim of exploring and developing new approaches to accommodate Interchurch dialogue. Through these collaborative efforts, the Church seeks to foster greater understanding and unity among diverse denominations, and to address the evolving dynamics of multi-denominational families within the context of ecumenism.
