the AIF offers a support network for interchurch families and mixed marriages, and a voice for such families in the churches. Most members are interchurch couples and families; some are individuals who wish to further the Association's work.
In England, its Presidents are: the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Cardinal Archbishop of Westminster, the Moderator of the Free Church Federal Council, Dr. Kenneth Greet, and Bishop Alastair Haggart.
Within the United Kingdom, the Conference of Associations of Interchurch Families in Britain and Ireland includes the four English, Scottish, and Irish sister-associations. It is a "body in association" with the Council of Churches for Britain and Ireland.
